Our Saturday morning in San Francisco started out with breakfast, followed by a mile walk to the Ferry Building. Surprisingly, the market surrounding the building wasn’t as busy as I expected it to be. The sun was out and although there was a little chill in the air, it was a great morning to be outside sipping coffee while people watching and admiring the bridge and bay. We didn’t have plans until 3:00 so from the Ferry Building, we continued on our way passing all the piers, until we came upon Pier 39. Other than the whale mural (news flash, I like whales) and sea lions (that Eric found hilarious), there was nothing else for us in this tourist trap area. We moved onto Ghirardelli to pick up some chocolate and then went to find a trolley. (Yes, I realize Ghirardelli and the trolley are both pretty touristy, but I'm not going to pass up chocolate and trolley riding is a must if you are in SF. So, there.)
After the trolley ride, we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for Superego. The roughly 2 mile walk back was a bit slow due in part to all the hills and also my many stops to take pictures.
